🔵 Day 5 – Throat Chakra (Vishuddha)

Throat Chakra - blue energy at throat

5th Chakra | Vishuddha (Purification)

  • Colour ~ Blue
  • Element ~ Ether / Sound
  • Location ~ Throat
  • Affirmation ~ I speak | I express
  • Mantra ~ Ham
  • Developmental Stage ~ 7–12 years

Today we focus on the Throat Chakra — Vishuddha — the seat of communication, truth, and expression. When balanced, we speak our needs with clarity, express creativity freely, and honour our own voice. On this day, we welcome creative expression through movement, journaling, and art — not for performance, but for liberation.

💫 Menopause Connection

Many women experience throat-related symptoms in menopause — dry throat, thyroid shifts, or simply not feeling "heard" during this life stage. Reclaiming your voice, setting boundaries, and expressing your needs are vital during midlife and beyond.

🥬 Menopause Nutrient Focus

  • Iodine – For thyroid support
  • Omega-3s – For brain clarity and nerve health
  • Protein – For hormonal balance
  • Hydration – To ease dryness

🧘‍♀️ Yoga Poses for Vishuddha

  • Fish Pose (Matsyasana) – Opens the throat
  • Shoulderstand (Sarvangasana) – Stimulates thyroid
  • Seated Lion's Breath (Simhasana variation) – Releases tension
  • Supported Bridge with a bolster – Gentle opening

*Note: use alternatives or modifications as needed for neck comfort.

🔵 Journaling Prompts – Throat Chakra (Vishuddha)

Expression, honesty, and deep listening.

  • What did I need to say today — did I say it?
  • Where did I feel heard?
  • How does it feel when I speak from my truth?
  • What stories am I ready to stop telling myself?
  • How can I be more tender with my inner voice?

🗣️ Your voice matters. Your truth is welcome here.
